A .farm domain is a generic top-level domain operated by Binky Moon, LLC. It is a newer extension, and the registry has opened it for domain name registrations. Farmers, livestock and dairy producers, farm suppliers and land and feed businesses are the kinds of people and organisations that suit it.
The registry supports DNSSEC, which helps protect your domain against tampering with its DNS records. Names can be between 1 and 63 characters long, and internationalised names are allowed. Registrations run for 1 to 10 years, so you can choose a term that suits your plans. Local presence in Australia is not required, so anyone can register a .farm domain.

- Anyone may register a .farm domain, whether an individual or an organisation.
- Your contact details must be accurate.
- You must keep your contact details current throughout the registration term.
Your .farm domain can be renewed for a further year at a time, and expired names are held for a period before they are released.
- After expiry there is a 40 day grace period in which you can still renew the domain.
- There is no separate redemption period.
- If the domain is not renewed, the name is released afterwards and becomes available to others.
You can transfer an existing .farm domain to Domain Central from another provider.
- You need the authorisation (EPP) code from your current provider, and the domain must be unlocked.
- The transfer usually takes 5 to 7 days to complete.
- A domain cannot be transferred within 60 days of its registration or of a previous transfer.
- A successful transfer adds one year to the registration term.
You can change the registrant of your .farm domain through your registrar.
- The change is made through Domain Central and does not change the expiry date.
- The registration term stays the same after a change of registrant.
