- Your contact details must be accurate when you register.
- You must keep your contact details current for the life of the domain.
Renewals run in 1 year increments, and you should renew before the expiry date to keep your name.
- There is a 40 day grace period after expiry during which you can still renew your domain.
- There is no separate redemption period.
- If you do not renew within the grace period, the name is released afterwards.
You can transfer an existing .tech domain to Domain Central from another provider.
- You need the authorisation (EPP) code from your current registrar, and the domain must be unlocked.
- A domain cannot be transferred within 60 days of registration or of a previous transfer.
- Transfers usually take 5 to 7 days, and the losing registrar has up to 5 days to respond.
- A successful transfer adds one year to the registration term.
You can change the registrant of your .tech domain through the registrar.
- The registrant change does not change the expiry date of your domain.
- The registration term stays the same after the change.
