A .agency domain is a generic top-level domain run by Binky Moon, LLC. It is one of the newer domain extensions and it is open for registrations now. The extension is intended for businesses and organisations that provide a specific service, such as employment, modelling, talent, marketing, public relations, adoptions and advertising. Private detectives are also a natural fit.
A .agency domain supports DNSSEC, which helps protect your domain against tampering. Internationalised names are allowed, and your name can be between 1 and 63 characters long. You can register for 1 to 10 years, and there is no requirement for a local presence in any country.
A .agency domain is a good choice if your business sells a service and you want the extension to say so at a glance. Before you register, check that your chosen name is available and that your contact details are accurate, because the registry expects them to be kept current.

- Renewals are made in 1 year increments.
- The grace period lasts 40 days after expiry, and you can still renew your domain during it.
- There is no separate redemption period.
You can transfer an existing .agency domain to Domain Central from another provider.
- You need the authorisation (EPP) code from your current provider, and the domain must be unlocked.
- Domains cannot be transferred within 60 days of registration or of a previous transfer.
- Transfers usually take 5 to 7 days, and the losing provider has up to 5 days to respond before the transfer completes automatically.
You can change the registrant of your .agency domain through Domain Central.
- A change of registrant does not change the expiry date.
