.com.vn
A .com.vn domain is the country code domain for Vietnam. It is operated by the Vietnamese registry, the Viet Nam Internet Network Information Center (VNNIC), and it can be registered by anyone for a minimum one year period.
The registry supports DNSSEC, which helps protect your visitors from forged DNS answers. Names can be between 1 and 63 characters long. The extension does not accept internationalised names, so your domain must use standard characters. There is no local presence requirement for the registrant.
A .com.vn domain is a good choice when your business or website is tied to Vietnam and you want a local extension. Before you register, check that the name is not political, pornographic or gambling related, as the registry forbids these. Also allow a few days for registration to complete.
Registration is open to anyone, but a few conditions apply to the registrant.
- A Vietnamese domain owner must register their domain through a Vietnamese registrar.
- Domain Central cannot register a .com.vn domain with a registrant postal address located in Vietnam.
- Companies not based in Vietnam must provide their company name and area of business.
- Renewals are made in 1 year increments.
- There is no separate redemption period.
- Renew before the expiry date to keep your domain, as the registrar will send renewal reminders.
