.gallery
A .gallery domain is a generic top-level domain open for registration. It is run by Binky Moon, LLC, and it is aimed at people who want a place to show their work online.
The registry supports DNSSEC, which helps protect your domain from certain forms of tampering. Names can be from 1 to 63 characters long, and internationalised names are allowed. Registrations run from 1 to 10 years, and renewals are made in one-year steps.
A .gallery domain suits designers promoting a portfolio, artists displaying their ideas, families sharing holiday snaps, and galleries who want to be found easily. Check that the name you want is free, and decide on a term that matches how long you plan to keep it.
Registration is open to anyone around the world.
- No local presence in Australia or anywhere else is required.
- Contact details must be accurate when you register.
- You must keep your contact details current for the life of the domain.
Your domain stays active while it is within its term, and you can renew it before it expires.
- After expiry there is a 40-day grace period during which you can still renew the domain.
- There is no separate redemption period.
- Renewals are added in one-year increments.
- If the domain is not renewed, the name is released afterwards.
You can move an existing .gallery domain from another provider to Domain Central.
- You need the authorisation (EPP) code from your current registrar, and the domain must be unlocked.
- Transfers are not possible within 60 days of registration or of a previous transfer.
- A transfer usually takes 5 to 7 days, and the losing registrar has up to 5 days to respond.
- A successful transfer adds one year to the registration term.
You can change the registrant of your .gallery domain through your registrar.
- A change of registrant does not change the expiry date.
- The term stays the same after the change.
