A .holiday domain is a generic top-level domain run by Binky Moon, LLC. It is aimed at anything connected with vacations and travel, so the people who use it tend to be travel agencies, tour operators, hotels, airlines and review sites.
The extension supports DNSSEC, so you can add a signing layer to help protect your domain’s records. Names can be between 1 and 63 characters long, and internationalised names are allowed. Registration runs for a minimum of 1 year and you can renew in one year steps. Your registration term can be set anywhere from 1 to 10 years.
A .holiday domain is a good choice if your website or business is about holidays, travel or getaways, because the name tells visitors straight away what you offer. Before you register, check that your contact details are accurate and that you can keep them current, as the registry requires this. Also note that a domain cannot be transferred within 60 days of registration or of a previous transfer.

- You need the authorisation (EPP) code from your current registrar, and the domain must be unlocked.
- The losing registrar has up to 5 days to respond, after which the transfer completes automatically.
- Transfers usually take 5 to 7 days, and a successful transfer adds one year to your registration term.
You can change the registrant of your .holiday domain through Domain Central.
- The change is made through the registrar, not the registry.
- Changing the registrant does not change the expiry date.
