.site
A .site domain is a generic top-level domain that anyone can register for a company, organisation or individual website. It is operated by Radix Technologies Inc. SEZC, which runs the registry for the extension.
The registry supports DNSSEC, so you can add a layer of security to your domain’s DNS records. Names can be between 3 and 63 characters long, and internationalised names are allowed. Registrations run for 1 to 10 years, and renewals are made one year at a time.
A .site domain suits you if you want a web address that highlights your brand and your niche is hard to match with an older extension. Before you register, check that your chosen name is available and that the term you want fits your plans.
Registration is open to anyone worldwide.
- You do not need a local presence in any particular country to register.
- Your contact details must be accurate when you register.
- You must keep your contact details current for the life of the domain.
Renew before your expiry date so you keep the name without interruption.
- After expiry there is a grace period of 40 days, during which you can still renew the domain.
- Renewals are made in one year increments.
- There is no separate redemption period.
- If the domain is not renewed, the name is released afterwards.
You can move an existing .site domain to Domain Central from another provider.
- You need the authorisation (EPP) code from your current registrar, and the domain must be unlocked.
- A domain cannot be transferred within 60 days of its registration or of a previous transfer.
- Transfers usually take 5 to 7 days, and the losing registrar has up to 5 days to respond.
- A successful transfer adds one year to the registration term.
You can change the registrant of your .site domain through the registrar.
- Changing the registrant does not change the expiry date.
- Your new contact details must be accurate once the change is made.
