- Your contact details must be accurate when you register.
- You must keep your contact details current for as long as you hold the name.
Renew before the expiry date to keep your name.
- After expiry, there is a 40 day grace period in which you can still renew the name.
- Renewals are added in 1 year increments.
- There is no separate redemption period.
- If the name is not renewed, it is released after the grace period ends.
You can transfer an existing .software domain to Domain Central from another provider.
- You need the authorisation (EPP) code from your current registrar.
- The domain must be unlocked before the transfer can begin.
- A domain cannot be transferred within 60 days of registration or of a previous transfer.
- Transfers usually take 5 to 7 days, and the losing registrar has up to 5 days to respond before the transfer completes automatically.
You can change the registrant of your .software domain through your registrar.
- Changing the registrant does not change the expiry date.
- The registration term stays the same after an owner change.
