.travel
A .travel domain is a generic top-level domain for travel and tourism websites. The registry is Dog Beach, LLC, and it is used for local, domestic and foreign travel and tourism sites alike.
Registrations run for between 1 and 10 years, and DNSSEC is supported, so you can add a layer of protection to your domain’s records. Names can be between 3 and 63 characters long. Internationalised names are not allowed, so your domain must use standard characters.
A .travel domain suits limousine services, bed and breakfasts, travel agencies and travel blogs. Before you register, check that you meet the travel and tourism eligibility rules, because the name is only open to people in that industry.
Registration is limited to people and organisations connected with travel and tourism.
- Any business, organisation or individual who provides travel or tourism services, goods, products or content can register.
- You must be a member of the travel industry to register a .travel domain.
- Contact details must be accurate and kept current.
Renew before the expiry date to keep your name. After expiry you have a 40-day grace period to renew.
- The grace period lasts 40 days after expiry, and your site may stop working during it.
- There is no separate redemption period.
- If you do not renew, the name is released afterwards.
You can move an existing .travel domain to Domain Central from another provider.
- You need the authorisation (EPP) code from your current registrar.
- The domain must be unlocked before the transfer starts.
- A transfer usually takes 5 to 7 days, and a domain cannot be transferred within 60 days of registration or a previous transfer.
You can change the registrant of your .travel domain through your registrar.
- The change is made through the registrar and does not change the expiry date.
