A .watch domain is a generic extension that is run by Binky Moon, LLC. It is a newer extension, and its operator describes it as suited to watchmakers, sellers, collectors and antique businesses, including those selling fob, sport, pilot, diver or smart watches. It is also used by neighbourhood watch schemes, security agencies, news sites, birdwatchers and cinemas.
The registry supports DNSSEC, so your domain can be signed to help protect visitors from forged DNS answers. Names can be between 1 and 63 characters long, and internationalised names are allowed. You can register for anywhere from 1 to 10 years, and renewals are added one year at a time. After expiry you get a 40 day grace period to renew before the name is at risk.

- You need the authorisation (EPP) code from your current provider, and the domain must be unlocked.
- A domain cannot be transferred within 60 days of registration or of a previous transfer.
- Transfers usually take 5 to 7 days, and a successful transfer adds one year to the registration term.
You can change the registrant of a .watch domain through your registrar.
- A change of registrant does not change the expiry date of the domain.
- The term of the registration stays the same after the change.
