Step 1 – Log In to Your WP Squared Account (if possible) #
If you still have access to your authenticator app, log in to your WP Squared account as normal using your username, password, and 6-digit verification code.
Step 2 – Navigate to Your Account Settings #
Click your profile icon (or your name) in the top-right corner of the WP Squared dashboard and select Your Account from the dropdown menu.
Step 3 – Open the Security Tab #
Inside the Your Account section, click on the Security tab to view your 2FA settings.
Step 4 – Disable 2FA #
Click the Disable 2FA button. You’ll be asked to confirm this action by entering your password and a current verification code (if still available).
Once confirmed, 2FA will be turned off, and you’ll be able to log in using just your password until it’s re-enabled.
Step 5 – Reset 2FA (for New Device Setup) #
If you’ve changed phones or want to re-pair your authenticator app, you can now click Enable 2FA again to generate a new QR code. Scan it with your new device and verify with a fresh 6-digit code to complete setup.
Can’t Log In or Lost Access to Your Authenticator App? #
If you’re unable to log in because you no longer have access to your authenticator or backup codes:
- Go to your hosting Client Area.
- Open a Support Ticket under the category WordPress Hosting / WP Squared.
- Include your account email address and a short explanation (e.g., “lost my phone, need 2FA reset”).
Our team will verify your identity and safely remove 2FA from your account so you can log in again.
✅ Tips #
- After re-enabling 2FA, download and store your new backup codes safely.
- Only disable 2FA when absolutely necessary to keep your account secure.
- Keep your mobile authenticator backed up to the cloud (e.g., Authy or Google backup) to prevent loss.
